Tourism Committee considers raising rental fees for important tourist locations
In an attempt of Asharqia Chamber to solve investors problems; Tourism Committee has conducted a meeting held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 to discuss complaints of investors from the decision of Municipality of the Eastern Region to raise rental fees for tourist sites to several proposals, mainly the formation of the Evaluation Committee with a new member of the Tourism Authority and Chamber in order to reach appropriate solutions to all Parties.
The Chief of Tourism Committee Abdullah bin Mufreh Al-Qahtani who said during the meeting that committee is seeking to reach solutions that suit all parties, including investors and the Municipality pointing out that they work hard in this matter with the Municipality.
Al-Qahtani explained that the committee have discussed a number of items of new investment contracts sharing opinion of members to delay next meeting so that the committee have enough time for review these procedures.
